Maroon 5 Receive 'International Song of The Year'
Maroon 5 received the ‘International Song of the Year Award’ during ‘1st Gaon Chart K-pop Awards.’
Maroon 5 the popular pop rock band is honored to receive the K-Pop award.
The ‘International Song of the Year Award’ was given to Maroon 5 during ‘1st Gaon Chart K-pop Awards’ ceremony on February 22.
It’s unusual for a foreign artist to receive an award in K-pop chart however this is a reflection of the influence U.S. pop music has in K-Pop industry.
The trophy was presented to the group in the U.S. during the middle of this month, five members of Adam Levine (lead vocalist), Jesse Carmichael (keyboardist), Mickey Madden (bass guitarist), Ryan Dusick (drummer), and James Valentine (guitarist) greeted their fans in Korea through a video presentation expressing their gratitude.
Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards that aims to bring fairness in the award system and to help spread K-Pop has successfully wrapped up its 1st award ceremony with attendance of many k-pop artists and alike.
