Surf’s up for stars from Zac Efron to Jack Johnson!
via AOL TeensSummer may be coming to a close, but flip-flops signed by Zac Efron, Selena Gomez, Alexis Bledel, Hayden Penetierre, and a ton of other celebs are always in style! Stars and surfers alike got together recently in Huntington Beach, California for the 2nd Annual PacSun Pipeline to a Cure event, which benefited the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The night was full of musical performances (the likes of American Idol contestant Kai Kalama), awareness-raising (did you know that young cystic fibrosis patients who surf have healthier lungs?) and silent auctioning. Among the items auctioned off included celebrity-signed Havaianas flip flips! Which celebrity’s shoe sale was “boss” (“old school meaning for cool”)? None other than that of… Jack Johnson!
This year’s event raised nearly $300,000 for research and patient care, and raised a great deal of awareness about cystic fibrosis, which affects more than 70,000 children and young adults around the world!
